Your 2023 Impact
Supporting Research and Treatment
This year, our collective efforts fuelled over $400,000 worth of innovative advancements in cystic fibrosis research.
With your support, we administered funding to a wide range of Researchers across the country and look forward to witnessing tangible progress that brings hope to individuals and families affected by CF.
Strengthening Support Networks
The power of community was evident in 2023 as we strengthened our support networks.
Through events, support groups, online platforms, and the launch of our CFA Ambassador program, individuals with CF and their families found solace, understanding, and encouragement in the face of unique challenges.
Increased Advocacy
We heightened our cystic fibrosis advocacy through diverse means, engaging with the Federal Government, contributing to policy discussions, empowering the community, collaborating with stakeholders, conducting awareness campaigns, and leveraging media to amplify our voice.
Our dedicated resolve and strategic advocacy efforts have focused on extending accessibility to vital medications like Trikafta, Orkambi, and Kalydeco for the cystic fibrosis (CF) community.
Our comprehensive impact through advocacy remains unwavering, with active involvement in the current national inquiry into diabetes in Australia.
The establishment of the first Parliamentary Friends of Cystic Fibrosis Group further supports amplifying our community’s voices, fostering a deeper understanding of CF’s impact at a national level.
Community Triumphs

Through various fundraising initiatives, our incredible community, helped support research distribution, clinical care and programs, and essential resources that make a tangible difference in the lives of those living with CF.
Bridging Gaps in Awareness
In 2023, we collaborated tirelessly to bridge awareness gaps, launching impactful initiatives, sharing personal stories, and engaging in widespread advocacy efforts.
Through a united front, we elevated cystic fibrosis awareness, fostering understanding and support on both local and national levels, reduced stigma and fostered a supportive environment for those affected by CF.
Yet, challenges persist. There is so much more for us to do, and we will need your continued partnership.
Many people with CF remain ineligible or unresponsive to modulator therapy. This is a priority for us. At CFA, our unwavering mission is to raise CF awareness nationally and with an aging population and ongoing research for genetic therapy, new challenges arise.
As we embark on a new year, we extend our deepest gratitude to each supporter, advocate, and partner who played a role in making 2023 a year of progress and hope.
